I was only pretending to be okay with your insults, disrespect and lies.
I was only pretending to be okay with your egotistical ways designed to mask your deepest insecurities
I pretended I didn’t see how your gossip was proof you couldn’t be trusted
I pretended not to be shocked when you unleashed poison on those you claimed to love
I pretended to be indifferent to juvenile expectations
I grew tired of pretending so I stopped.
